There are milestones in history, great and small, international and local, times when we stop to look back at what God has done through and for His people who have come before us.
Please join us as we pause to give God our thanks, and to reminisce with each other, about how He has used our little Rome Community Church over the past 150 years, and what a blessing these folks have been in our lives. We have built on what they built, which was on the True Foundation, Jesus Christ.
If you have old photos or memorabilia from the church’s past, please feel free to bring them to display.

Adult class this fall is an eight week series based on the book The Art of Parenting by Dennis and Barbara Rainey. “Parenting is an exciting adventure, full of twists and turns. But sometimes it feels like you don’t know where you’re headed, or you’re just making it up as you go along. How can you get where you want to be without having a plan in place?
Dennis and Barbara Rainey have spent decades teaching on the foundations necessary for building godly families. Now they share the insights and expertise gleaned from those years of ministry, as well as stories and teachings from their own children about the challenges of parenting today. The Art of Parenting focuses your attention on four crucial elements in your children’s lives:
Relationships, Character, Identity, and Mission.
When you apply biblical truth to these four areas, you can feel confident your children will have a foundation they can build upon for the rest of their lives.”
While adults are learning about parenting, children will be enjoying lessons gleaned from our most popular Vacation Bible Schools from past years. First stop? Space! With Answers In Genesis’ “Operation Space! Gather your gear! Climb into your space suit! We’re off to crisscross the cosmos! This close encounter with God’s Word teaches kids the truth about the Bible while exploring the wonders of the heavens. Operation Space helps kids reconnect the Bible to the real world around them…”
If you are interested in coming to the Wednesday lessons, please let us know so that we can order enough study materials.
